Difference to UM-720S : VESA (75mm) compatible mounting adapter option on display rear side. You can mount the display on any VESA compatible mounting unit.
This TFT monitor is connected to a Windows PC USB connector. The display is working as an additional display which can be added to the main display area on the left, right, upper or lower. Alternatively it can mirror the primary screen. The display can be swiveled in steps of 90°.
In addition, the UM-720F V2 model comes with touchscreen.

Ein für diesen Preis absolut empfehlenswertes Gerät. Ich habe den Monitor für den Einsatz im Auto gekauft, da der Touch-Screen meines Tablet-PCs (FSC P1610) defekt ist. Da der Monitor bei mir auch in die Konsole gespachtelt wird, habe ich das Gehäuse zerlegt. Die mechanische Qualität ist sehr gut, verklebte Gewindehülsen aus Messing halten das Gehäuse zusammen. Dazu ist alles sehr passgenau montiert. Schrauben sitzen sehr fest, beim Zerlegen unbedingt auf passenden Schraubendreher und ordentlichen Druck auf die Schraube achten!
Mich wunderte, dass sogar GoogleEarth im D3D-Modus ruckelfrei auf dem Display dargestellt werden kann. Ich dachte zuerst, es wäre gar keine Hardwarebeschleunigung spiegelbar.
Die Kalibrierung des Touchscreens ist problemlos. Der Touchscreen funktioniert befriedigend mit der bloßen Fingerspitze. Nutzt man ganz leicht den Nagel, ist die Eingabe 100%ig.
Die Treiber sind unter Windows XP komfortabler als unter Windows 7. Hier fehlten dann einige Optionen, die im Taskbar-Icon-Kontextmenü unter Win XP noch vorhanden waren (z.B. internen Monitor abschalten, nur externen nutzen).
Eine kleine Enttäuschung erlebte ich mit der Auflösung, da diese nicht interpoliert werden kann. D.h. es sind nur 800x480 Pixel möglich. Eigentlich ein Grund für nur 4,5 Sterne, aber man kann sich nach einiger Zeit doch ganz gut damit anfreunden.
Die Tests habe ich auf Notebooks m. integr. Intel-Grafikchipsatz gemacht.
