Car-PC Jetway NF9HQL-525 (Intel Atom D525) Jetway NF9HQL-525 (Intel Atom D525)

A really nice mainboard for a router or a similar appliance. Consumes about 19-20 W when idle (with a 2.5" HDD attached) and peaks at 26 W if under maximum load. It's possible to run it without the CPU fan on, although not recommended. Works with FreeBSD (including pfSense) and OpenBSD, and of course Linux.
Only issue is that for MAC spoofing to work you need to enable the promiscuous mode for the corresponding Realtek NIC (very easy on FreeBSD, more difficult on OpenBSD).

Was unable to get this card running with the Jetway NF9D mainboard (could just be a faulty add-on board instead of an incompatibilty issue). After insertion of this add-on board a BIOS data error was reported soon after the main BIOS screen.

The R.M.A. process went smoothly without a hitch.

A really good mainboard for a router or other kind of networking appliance. Offers expandability via PCIe to add more NICs (see Jetway add-on card offerings). Consumes about 19-20W of power when idle with a 2.5" HDD attached and around 17W when idle without a HDD. Fully supports FreeBSD (including pfSense). Probably a 3A 12V (36W) and definitely a 5A (60W) AC-DC power supply is sufficient to power this mainboard.

This mainboard is identical to the Jetway NF9HG with the exception of an optional LAN bypass function between the 3rd and 4th Intel NICs.

This a quite nice, silent-running mainboard with a low power consumption. It offers expandability with various Jetway add-on boards that can be purchased separately, e.g., 4 additional NICs, 4 additional SATA ports etc. Unfortunately I did not manage to get the Jetway ADPE4S add-on board that offers 4 additional SATA ports to work with this mainboard (but this could be an issue with the add-on board and not the mainboard itself).
