Car-PC PW-80 10.8-20V DC/DC (80 Watts) PW-80 10.8-20V DC/DC (80 Watts)

Although I have bought this a couple of years ago I had to replace it quickly with another one. So: CON: It broke very fast. PRO: the form factor and the ability to connect it directly on an EPIA-equiped motherboard.

As a GPS/GIS/GeoCaching enthousiast (and a software programmer with my own 3d-GPS navigation development experience) I have tried a lot of navigation software. I tried navigation software for the PocketPC-platform, for the PC-platform and now with this package I am in possession of a very fine windows-enabled navigation application that not only has support for Europe maps but also fully takes advantage of touch screen UMPC'style computers. That is the main reason why I bought this. The price is not too high and the look and feel makes you think of other Garmin PND-navigation devices. I love it but I still have to make my first big trip with it. (Which will be in october)
Support for adding your own POI's is also very handy and another reason for me to buyt this software.

Car-PC BLUETOOTH GPS reiceiver (Sirf 3 chipset) with RDS/TMC BLUETOOTH GPS reiceiver (Sirf 3 chipset) with RDS/TMC

I bought this bluetooth navigation device because I was sick and tired of using my bluetooth equiped HTC P3600 PocketPC handheld together with the free GPS2blue-tool (http://users.skynet.be/hofinger/GPS2Blue.html) to enable my Vista-loaded Samsung Q1 UMPC (without integrated GPS but with bluetooth) to handle some navigation. It did the trick quite well, but it was always a hassle setting it up.
Setting this bluetooth GPS-receiver up was very easy. Just pair your computer/PocketPC/UMPC to the bluetooth receiver and off you go. Very fast GPS fix and very accurate readings. The box contains some nice goodies that I also use now for other stuff. Like the anti-slip thingy you can put on top of your dashboard and allows to keep a device put if it is on top of it. Also included is a connector for the cigarette-lighter which actually sports a USB connection. This is awsome because I can now charge my HTC, my portable media player and the GPS receiver with this neat accessoire.
I am a long-time customer at this store and I very much like the speed of delivery, the speed of answering any questions and I would recommend cartft to anyone!

Car-PC VIA EPIA M-II 12000 (without I/O shield, without accessoiry) VIA EPIA M-II 12000 (without I/O shield, without accessoiry)
 | 05.09.2008
I rated the VIA EPIA M-II 12000 the full five stars simply because this device is stable and robust as concrete, uses less power and has a great -small- form factor. Even though I bought it a couple of years ago, I still use it a lot and it never dissappointed me before. Next time I would buy a VIA-based nano if I needed a small form-factor mainboard again.

Car-PC PW-120M(200M) -P4- 12V DC/DC (200 Watt) PW-120M(200M) -P4- 12V DC/DC (200 Watt)

After trying the PW-80 that broke real fast I ordered this one. This power supply looked very appealing to me because it was even smaller than the PW-80. Unfortunately... the PW-120M also broke down pretty fast which left me to believe that something was wrong with my setup. I am not in the car-pc community anymore so I never got around to replace it again.
Very nice form factor though!

I bought this small computer last year to use it as my main home automation "server". I use xPl on a lightweight Windows XP with X10 throughout my house to control a plethora of lights, pumps, stereo's, ...
The reasons why I bought this one are:
- Price
- relatively low power usage
- small form factor (and the ability to screw it to the wall in my basement)
- I did not need a lot of raw processing power

The thing does the trick and I am very satisfied with it. It is running without one single restart of reboot for almost a year now and still works as expected.

The only reason why it did not rate it four stars is because I really would like to see a 220V power supply *included* in the package.

Delivery of the order was again SUPERFAST!
