The N5 is a litle wonder. And delivery from Germany within 24 hours, whilst snow storm on Stansted. Merry christmas!

The service from CarTFT was excellent and very fast - much better than in UK for the same item. The Viliv N5 has proved good, once I've learnt the various work-arounds; it's also relaltively fast for a Windows 7 machine. It'd be better if it had the I/O port it was planned to have; having only the single USB is therefore more of a nuisance. But the optical 'touch pad' is a joy to use; the screen's very clear (and can be enlarged). Battery-life isn't great, so the extra battery that came with it is a real bonus. In short, it's proved better than I had dared hope.

Product looks great, really fits nicely in hand.
Decent battery like under windows 7 starter, about 5 hours with WIFI & bluetooth on, didn't try multimedia.
Screen is bright enough to be readable under sunlight.
2 annoyances I haven't found a workout though :
1/ Unable to use GPS, doesn't looks like it's working correctly for me
2/ Unable to get the optical joystick (the little thingy that works very well as a mouse replacement under Windows 7) to work under Linux.
I'm still investigating on both issues, but he GPS problem is a real drawback for me.
Other than that, 3G connection is simply great, WIFI a bit awkward sometimes, but not so much.
A great product, I just wish OQO could have lived long enough to build such a device with their form factor.

But a great computer, but a bit expensive, since any PC of 10 " it costs you on 200 ? and this costs 600 to you ? is and worse enough than the bigger one since it has processor of 1,6GHz
it's a perfect mobile device! with everything working out of the box (incl. 3G) there's simply nothing that you can carry around as easy as this little pocket-sized pc. i can only recommend it! the delivery was really fast! thank you, cartft!
